About Aamen Program

An awareness initiative brought to you by Albaik® in collaboration with the Research Center at the Saudi Food and Drug Authority. The program aims to raise food safety awareness in various, unique and exciting approaches that aims to ignite a sustainable food safety movement in KSA that takes precedence over delivering a lasting message to the community members. And from here, the leading food safety program "Aamen" was born.

Aamen Food Safety Program fosters the energy of creative individuals directly by allowing them to participate in generating an inspirational & positive impact that will contribute to the Food Safety Program and the overall food handlers’ society. "Aamen" will celebrate the winning creative individuals after going through multiple filtration and nomination stages followed by public online voting to select the winning submissions.

About Aamen Program

What is Aamen Program?
Aamen is a public initiative by ALBAIK® in collaboration with the Research Center at the Saudi Food and Drug Authority. The aim of this program is raise awareness within our community on the importance of food safety and various practices in new and engaging ways. 

 

Why do we have a competition?
The purpose of this competition is to enable the target audience to learn together and share knowledge through participating and submitting their content on food safety awareness in any desired track mentioned in "Aamen Food Safety Program" for the competition. The tracks are Photography, Short Films, Inforgraphic Design and Ideas. 

 

 

Stages

What are the most important dates I should keep in mind?

There are many important dates to be kept in mind, and they are:

Registration: 24th of July - 28th of December

Nomination: 29th of December - 16th of January

Judging: 19th - 23rd of January

Winners Announcement: 30th of January

 

What are the stages that require my physical attendance?
Participants aren't required to attend physically at any stage of the initiative. However, winning participants must attend to receive their prizes if there's a ceremony to award the winners.

 

Who is on the nomination committee?
Representative experts on the topic of Food Safety.

 

 

Eligibility of Participants

Who is eligible to participate?
The competition is open to all citizens and residents of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, aged 15 years and older. 

 

Do I need to have prior knowledge in Food Safety to participate?
You do not need any previous knowledge about Food Safety; the aim of the competition is to learn together and benefit others as well. 

 

Can I participate with multiple submissions?
Yes, a participant can submit more than one submission whether in the same track or in a different one.

 

Can a group of people participate as one team?
Groups may not participate as a team in the competition platform, the participation must be by one individual only.

 

 

Registration

How can I register in the competition's platform for the first time?
You can register on the competition's platform by following these steps:
1. Select the track you wish to participate in.
2. Click on the participate button to submit your participation.
3. Fill in your information to receive a confirmation email.
4. Click on the link provided in the confirmation email to access the registration form.
5. Fill in the information about your submission, and click on "submit" to send in your participation or "save" to come back to it later.

 

I forgot my password. How can I reset it?
Click on "forgot password" then follow the instructions as shown.

 

I didn’t receive the confirmation email after registration, what should I do?
It might take a few minutes between registering and receiving the confirmation email. If the problem persists, please contact us on info@aamenprogram.com

 

 

Submission

How will my submission be evaluated?
All received submissions will go through two stages: filtration and nomination.

Filtration:
All submissions will be assessed and compared, to select the top submissions to present them to the Nomination Committee based on the following criteria:
1- The participant’s personal information should be complete.
2- The submission’s content, title and description have to be in compliance with the Islamic Shari’ah, culture, traditions and general ethics of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
3- The submission does not violate any intellectual property laws.
4- The submission content beholds an awareness message or the participant’s perception communicating food safety information or tips in any way. 

 

Nomination:
The Nomination Committee will evaluate the top submissions to select the best ones to proceed to the online voting stage based on a predefined criteria for each track.

 

What are the rules for participation?
You can check the participation criteria in each track as well as in the relevant section in the Terms and Conditions page.

 

Will I still be the owner of my submission after I submit it?
Upon participation and winning the competition only, the submission rights are passed onto the Program's team. Please refer to the Intellectual Property section under the Terms and Conditions page.

 

If two similar participations are submitted by two different individuals, how is a decision made as to which one is selected?
It often happens that multiple submissions suggest the same or very similar ideas. In such cases, if the submissions pass the initial filtration phase and satisfy all filtration criteria, the Nomination Committee will make the decision as to which participant will move on to the following stage.

 

Can I withdraw my participation after I had submitted it?
Dropping out of the competition must be done prior to the end of registration. Withdrawing must be communicated via email to the following address: info@aamenprogram.com

 

Can I edit my submission?
Participants cannot edit their submissions after they have submitted them. However, participants have the option to save submissions and not send them until they are ready, prior to the end of the registration period.

 

In what language should the submission be?
You can submit either in Arabic or English.

 

Can I submit my submission by email?
To make a submission to the competition Platform, you must do so through the official Platform and not by any other means.

 

Can I submit content I have used previosuly?
Yes, you can participate with content you've already used, given that you have full ownership of the content proposed.

 

 

Winning and Prizes

How do I know if my submission has been selected or nominated?
If your submission is selected or nominated to move on to the next stage, you will be contacted using the contact information that you provided in the registration form.

 

What are the prizes for the winners of the competitions on the Platform?
The competition has different prizes, you can find them in the prizes section in the homepage.

1- The following terms include the official terms and conditions of the Food Safety Competition Platform ("the Platform") which forms an integral part of the initiative. Thus, participating in the Platform means that you are agreeing and complying to these terms and conditions and any matter relating to them, as well as the Platform's Terms of Use.

2- This project is supervised by ALBAIK Food Systems Company Limited (and will be referenced as the "Program Team").

3- The Program Team reserves the right, at it's sole discretion, to cancel, extend and/or alter the process of the competition, or their terms and conditions without prior notice and participants may not object or make any kind of claims.

4- Any changes made will be announced on the Platform and the Platform's official social media accounts.

5- All submissions will undergo screening and evaluation to ensure their eligibility and compatibility with the Platform's criteria, Terms and Conditions, and its Vision. For more information on the criteria, please visit the criteria page.

6- All participants must commit to the specified starting dates and deadlines of participations and submissions.

7- Any submission proven to be in violation of intellectual property rights and/or copyrights, whether through plagiarizing or duplication, will be disqualified from the initiative at any of its stages, and the participant will be subject to legal action. All submissions undergo a diligent evaluation process through which they will be inspected in all aspects, including intellectual rights. In the event a winner was later found to be in violation of any intellectual property rights and/or copyrights through plagiarizing or duplication, or to have committed any legal violation in an attempt to win the prize, the winner will be subject to legal action and the prize will be returned to the Program Team.

8- In the event that the program was cancelled for any reason, the Program Team will publish a message on the Platform and the platform's social media accounts announcing the cancellation.

9- The Program Team reserves the right to request further information and/or documents from the participants, if needed, to support or validate the credibility of their submission.

10- Should any submission, at any stage of the initiative, not comply with the terms and conditions, the filtration criteria, or the platform’s vision, it may be subject to disqualification.

 

Intellectual Property:

11- By participating in the Platform's competition, the participant agrees to grant the Program Team, or any other party nominated by the Team, the right to publish any submission they see appropriate on the website or in any other media channel currently known or that may develop in the future; these channels may include websites, mobile devices, television and radio. The participant also agrees to grant the Program Team the right to use the submission for promotional, advertising and marketing activities relating to the Program Team. The Participant also grants the Program Team a non-exclusive and irrevocable right to copy, publish or transfer the submission as well as to edit, modify, rearrange, cut, translate and reproduce the submission for purposes of the competition.

12- The ownership of all rights to the submitted creative content and ideas are moved to the Program Team upon participation and winning in the competition.

13- The submission should not violate any international or local rights, laws or provisions, or in any way encourage the violation of those rights, laws and provisions.

14- The Program Team is not liable to any governmental authorities for any legal procedures regarding violations of any laws committed by the participant.

 

Ownership of Platform Content:

15- Neither the Platform nor the server contains viruses or other malicious elements.

16- The Platform contains links to other websites that are not subject to the Program Team. Therefore, ALBAIK Food Systems Company Limited is not responsible for the content of those sites, and consequently the user bears sole liability for any dangers arising from browsing websites through links provided on the Platform.

17- The Platform contains links to other websites or portals that may attempt to protect information and privacy using means or processes different from those used by the Platform; therefore, the Platform is not responsible for this content or the means of privacy protection employed. The Platform users must review the privacy policies of those websites.

18- The Platform’s network server automatically collects IP addresses of visitors. These IP addresses are used to help resolve server issues and to compile statistical evaluations.

19- The Platform uses cookies. If desired, the Platform may use cookies to remember passwords in an attempt to simplify and accelerate access to the Platform. Cookie files are stored on the computer’s hard disk, provided that they have been allowed and encrypted.

 

Terms of Use:

20- The Food Safety Competition Platform is intended for public use. Access to or use of the Platform is subject to the following terms, and must comply with all other applicable Saudi laws and regulations.

21- By accessing the Platform, users are regarded as having entered into an unlimited agreement to all Terms of Use. This agreement becomes effective immediately upon first use of or access to the Platform.

22- Any further modifications made to the Terms of Use shall take effect immediately upon announcement, unless otherwise stated.

23- Continuous use of and access to the Platform by any user will be construed as their complete agreement to these modifications.

 

User Restrictions:

24- By accessing the Platform, users agree to refrain from:

25- Providing or uploading files that contain software, material, data or any other information that is not owned by or licensed to the user.

26- Using the Platform to send any kind of commercial or unsolicited email, or misusing the Platform in any other way.

27- Providing or uploading files that contain viruses.

28- Disseminating, announcing, distributing or circulating material and/or information that is defamatory or violates the law, and/or any other unacceptable material, or illegal information.

29- Using the Platform to participate in any illegal activities inside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

30- Using the Platform to announce any product or services that may result in the violation of laws or regulations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

31- Using any means, software or procedures that may prevent the Platform from operating properly.

32- Carrying out any action that places unreasonable demand upon the Platform's infrastructure or requires large storage space.

 

Termination of Use:

33- The Program Team has complete authority, at its own discretion, to terminate or limit a user's right to log into or use the Platform, without prior notice needed and for any reason, including violation of the Terms of Use by the user or any conduct that may be regarded by the Program Team as illegal or as causing harm to others. In the event of such termination, the user will not be authorized to log into the platform.

 

Linking with the Platform:

34- Websites interested in linking to the Platform, displaying its content, or engaging in similar activities, must submit a formal request to the Program Team in order to attain prior approval.

35- The Program Team has the right to impose the terms it deems appropriate when permitting any individual or institution to establish any link to the Platform or to any part of its content.

36- The Program Team shall not, in any circumstances, be considered an affiliate or a concerned party when referring to any brands, logos, or any other promotional material used or appearing on websites linking to the platform or any part of its content.

37- The Program Team has the right to suspend or interrupt any relation or link made to it by any website that contains inappropriate or illegal topics, names, materials or information, as well as any materials that violate legislation or intellectual property rights, or violate privacy and public rights.

38- The Program Team maintains the right to block any unauthorized links at any given time. The Program Team is not liable for any content on any website not associated with the Platform, whether the website is accessed through the Platform or is used to access the Platform.

 

Liability:

39- The Program Team is not liable for any material loss, damage or disappointment incurred on the participants as a result of participating in the challenges.

40- The Program Team is not liable for incorrect or inaccurate information relayed as a result of human error, technical malfunction, lost/delayed data transmission or omission, disruption in telephones, computers, internet networks, computer accessories or software, or any other reasons that may interfere with website accessibility.


Authority:

41- Any conflict that may arise regarding the aforementioned terms and conditions will be settled amicably. In the event that a settlement is not reached, both parties will turn to the Saudi judicial system for arbitration. The Saudi government will be the sole authority in such arbitration, and the process will be carried out by the Saudi judicial system regardless of the participant's nationality.

 

Indemnities:

42- Users hereby acknowledge never to take legal action against ALBAIK Food Systems Company Limited or any of its administrators including all agencies, employees or authorized agents responsible for managing or updating the Platform. This clause is considered a legal exemption from obligations or responsibilities that may arise regarding claims resulting from user violation of Terms and Conditions and Terms of Use or any other relevant regulations inside and outside Saudi Arabia.

 

Jurisdiction:

43- Users agree to comply exclusively with the Saudi Arbitrary Judicial System with regards to any issue or dispute arising as a result of the use of the Platform.

Participant Eligibility:

1- The participant must be a citizen or resident of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

2- Submissions must represent awareness content on food safety.

3- Personal information provided by the participant must be complete and accurate.

4- The employees of the organizing company, the employees of ALBAIK Food Systems Company Limited and their immediate family members, members of the evaluation and filtration committee, and members of the nomination committee, are not eligible to participate in the competition, as well as the advertising and promotional agencies directly involved in the Program team.

5- The prize may be awarded to an alternative winner if the primary winner is found to be not eligible in accordance with the Terms or Conditions or the Platforms vision.

6- The participant must commit to providing only correct information at all stages of the competition, as well as attending in person (if needed) and completing all stages themselves and not delegate any steps to a representative at any stage.

7- The participant must have full authority to consent to the Terms and Conditions. Any obligations or rights to a third party must also be fulfilled by the participant. The participant must disclose any contractual relationship with a third party, such as a business or talent agency or any other entity, as that may prevent the participant from participating completely or partially in the competition, or limit the Program team's authority to use the submitted content completely or partially.

 

Participation Criteria:

The below criteria must be fulfilled for the submissions to be valid:

8- The participant’s personal information should be complete.

9- The submission’s content, title and description have to be in compliance with the with the Islamic Shari’ah, culture, traditions and general ethics of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

10- The submission does not violate any intellectual property laws.

11- The submission content beholds an awareness message or the participant’s perception communicating food safety information or tips in any way. 

 

Selecting the Winner:

12- After receiving and filtering the submissions, the nomination committee and the Program team will select the top submissions to qualify for the final stage. The Platform team reserves the right to, in its sole discretion, determine which nominees qualify for the final stage.

13- The Program team has the complete authority to amend the number of eligible participants which corresponds to the interest of the platform based on the criteria and the decision of the Platform team.

14- The Program team will evaluate the nominated submissions and contact the nominees, if needed, to select the winner in the competition, based on the criteria.

 

Prizes:

15- The Program team reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel or alter the prizes without prior notice. The participant acknowledges that he/she will not have the right to object to such actions or make any kind of claims.

16- Any changes made to the prizes will be announced on the Platform and on the Platform's official social media accounts.

1- All content available on the Platform is protected in accordance with the National Rules and Regulations of Saudi Arabia related to publications and trademarks, as well as all other intellectual property rights. The content on the Platform is authorized and owned by ALBAIK Food Systems Company Limited.

2- Except where otherwise stated, users are not authorized to sell, license, lease, modify, copy, reproduce or download, publish, transfer or distribute any materials derived from the content of the Program without attaining prior written approval from the Program Team.

3- It is prohibited to change or modify any content on the Platform. In addition, all images included within the Platform are protected by publication copyrights, and it is not permitted to copy or use such content without attaining prior written approval from the Program team.

4- Users of the Platform waive any intellectual property rights to any comments, posts, suggestions, or other form of user-generated content that they submit to the Platform. Those rights are immediately transferred to the Platform in accordance with the National Rules and Regulations of Saudi Arabia. As such, all content displayed on the Platform, user-generated or otherwise, shall be construed as being the intellectual property of the Platform.

1- This Platform is a private Platform supervised by ALBAIK Food Systems Company Limited. 

2- The Platform has been designed in compliance with the current regulations in Saudi Arabia. Thus, and with no warranties in this regard, the Platform cannot guarantee immunity from or protection against any external attack or hacking.

 

Limitation of Liability:

3- Online e-services offered on the Platform, in addition to information relating to government agencies, are intended as means of simplifying traditional procedures. Users hereby acknowledge that online communications may result in third party spying or violation of their privacy. Users also acknowledge that the Platform will not alter information made available by official government agencies, and that all online applications and administrative procedures may also be conducted directly and in person.

4- Consequently, users are solely responsible for their use of the Platform, and the Program team bears no liability for any loss or damage incurred on the users as a result of using and/or visiting the Platform, including as the result of any information, statements or views announced through the Platform. Furthermore, the Program team is not responsible for any problems that may arise from accessing the internet, or any damages in hardware or software. The Program team will not be held responsible for any misconduct or malicious comments made by other users logged into the Platform.

 

Protection from Viruses:

5- The Program team advises users to use the appropriate antivirus software when attempting to download any content from the Platform. The Program team is not liable for any loss or damage to data or the user's computer as a result of using the Platform or its content.

 

Waiver of Claims:

6- The Platform and all its services, sources of information and other materials are intended for personal use without any declaration or warranty. Therefore, the Program team is not responsible for identified or unidentified errors or violations that may arise as a result of use content or links published on the Platform.

7- Any communication or information that the user may send through the Platform is not owned by the sender and privacy of this content is not guaranteed. In addition, any interactive use of the Platform by the user is not a guarantee of rights, licenses or privileges of any kind.

1- All comments posted through online sharing channels or on social networks are thoroughly reviewed to ensure that users have complied with the standards and regulations relating to posting comments.

2- The Program Team is authorized to exclude any comments it deems inappropriate and ban users who post them. Users must therefore comply with the following rules when posting any comments or messages through the Platform:

- Do consider general ethics and avoid any inappropriate phrases or use of impolite words

- Do keep comments relevant, and focus on the issue under discussion.

- Do avoid personal criticism that does not add to the discussion.

- Do avoid extremism.

- Be completely certain of the accuracy of Qura’anic texts, prophetic Hadiths, and religious views that is being referred to, and leave such topics for specialists to discuss.

- Do refrain from posting any personal information in comments, such as phone numbers and direct contact details.
